Revolutionising healthcare provision and optimising resurces through
simulation and modelling

Why?

The Festival of Evidence first met in 2014 because so many people were unaware of modelling approaches or why they should use them. As a result, two seminal reports were released:
The value of modelling and simulation in healthcare
Modelling healthcare scenarios

Who?

The Festival of Evidence is for:
• Those wanting to know more about how simulation and modelling can ensure healthcare redesign is robust, viable and future proof
• Those involved in healthcare redesign to share their experiences of generating and applying evidence in support of change

What happens?

A critical feature of these events is the mix of disciplines, since evidence comes from many communities, and the interactive sessions: there will be talks, opportunities to share and discuss evidence, sessions to experiment with computer simulation, to visualise data in new ways, and to work out how to use evidence to support better decisions in designing new services and improving existing ones. The talks will tend to be short, but will include clinical, commercial and academic experts. Contributors will be announced.

How much?

£190 for the two days, including dinner on 4th October
